This isn't their fault, although they don't complain either.

The problem is that it is ALMOST impossible to get permits in most cities for another cable provider to come in and lay their own lines.

Didn't Comcast do a large-scale buy-out of many regions as well? I have no idea, I had never heard of Comcast 8 years ago...now, it's literally ALL you hear.

Well Comcast, TimeWarner, Cox, Charter, and a few others have purchased Adelphia's former assets, swapped assets between each other, etc when that whole bankruptcy happened.

Haha nice. I know how to jack cable from any company, but it isn't possible with cox oc. They have stuff in the street to remotely turn it on and off.

I see, there had to be some crazy event going on that all of a sudden made Comcast so prominent in the cable industry.

Yeah there was a TON of changes in the last 3 years because of this bankruptcy. It was one hell of a shakeup in the industry.

Comcast has a choke hold on Atlanta, and I'm sick of selling my soul to them. But I'd have to pay for installation for DSL... so I dont. :(

In the past 2 weeks i've had 20+ calls from comcast asking for someone else about an overdue bill (wrong number). I've told them so many times to take my damn number off their list and they keep calling me over and over. I just got my second call today about 5 minutes ago.

Call them and harass them. They will finally take your number off the list.

Yeah Comcast is terrible, switch to AT&T if you get the chance or have their service in your are.

lol I would deal with comcast faster than AT&T. At least I wouldn't have to deal with active spying on me.
