Straight from Miami’s Pawn Shop patio to New York City, Made Event launches the very first NYC edition of Sunday School For Degenerates on August 31st through September 1st, 2008. In order to earn your masters degree in SSFD, the main event will be preceded by the Overboard Boat Party, brought to you by Matter/:Form, followed by an all–nighter at club Rebel. The degeneration concludes with an all-day open air affair at the aptly named Afterschool Special at The Yard, located on the Gowanus Canal, Brooklyn.
Once again, Made Event brings you a selection of the very best and talented music purveyors from all over the world. Preschool starts with the Overboard Boat Party featuring acclaimed Poker Flat Recordings headmaster Steve Bug and his dear acolyte Adultnapper. The adventure continues at club Rebel with the Sunday School For Degenerates party bringing together a selection of the best underground Artists; Dan Berkson & James What (Live), Kate Simko (Live), Mr. C, Martin Landsky, Three, Taimur Agha + Crazy Larry and additional special guests. The Degenerate escapades conclude with the Afterschool Special at The Yard, a tree-lined waterside lot on the scenic Gowanus Canal. This all-day grand finale will feature Cassy, Joel Mull, Nikola Baytola, Zip and additional special guests. Any heavy-handed moralizing will not be included, we are Degenerates!

A special Sunday School For Degenerates trifecta party package is now available for $105 while supplies last at www.made-event.com. This includes admission to Overboard + Sunday School for Degenerates at Rebel + Afterschool Special at The Yard + bus transportation between venues. Degenerate Passholders will receive a wristband that will allow them re-entry at Rebel and The Yard. No re-entry for non passholders. Bus leaves the Paddlewheel Queen at 10:15pm. Bus from Rebel leaves at 9:15am.

People who are pumped for this aren't posting on messageboards, me thinks. Plus with mini-tek looking like the better festival and being only 2 weeks after this, it's sorta unfortunate timing. |

Yeah, that's true. However, there are parties that break 10 pages around here that are not as big as this supposedly is. Made Events, personally, I think has gotten way too pricey as of late. I understand that they are booking a lot of talent and all, but other promoters are offering great talent along the same lines (like blkmrkt and Biatch Corp) that charge from $10 on guestlist to $35 for the boat party and Minimoo charging $40 with open bar all night. Minitek is booking double the talent and the weekend tickets are $80, not $105. There's just a little too much competition nowadays.
With that said, good luck to Made, the Steve Bug boat party sounds wicked. |

I agree, that $105 is pretty laughable... even the $40 charge for the boat party on that POS Paddlewheel Queen is pretty tough to swallow. |

Steve Bug's boat party in Miami this year was $150. 40 is a joke, and you get Adultnapper? Go for it...
SSFD in NY, man I wish I was up there. I would take Labor Day Weekend onver the minitek personally. I think the venue for minitek is not the greatest. |

That was for the WMC, right? Everything is overpriced for WMC! People will pay anyway at that time, and on top of that, Miami was full of people from all over the country. Space is very limited on a boat.
I just think that Made has always had top events for a trance/prog scene that is lacking until they jumped on the techno/minimal bandwagon. Now, it's yet another techno promoting co./crew/whatever it is and is not making a difference at all like they used to.
And with TA being a trance forum and all, the Minitek thread is @ over 15 pages and 1 more month to go ;) |

Then, the debauchery concludes at Monday’s Afterschool Special at The Yard with Cassy, Joel Mull, Nikola Baytala, Zip and additional special guests. The Yard, located directly on the Gowanus Canal, Brooklyn affords the perfect summer open-air ending with a line-up of the finest music selectors.
