Well, there's your problem.
If you want an interesting online experience, buy a computer. |

While that game may not have had the best graphics, the gameplay and level design were absolutely ing superb.
No matter how cautiously I tread, there was always a new trick, trap or monster waiting to scare the out of you.
It's the only game I've ever played that makes you "jump" from fright. |

yes, I loved it. It was done so well, with so much thought put into it. And multiplayer deathmatch was sooooo much fun. We used to add extra points if you make a kill where you turn the other person to mush :haha: |

I used to make half-life maps.
Actually they were just rooms. Filled with scientists for me to crowbar to death. |

i never really felt that from 1&2. 3 scared me a lot, but 1&2 were just too 'run and gun' to be scary.
AvP and condemned are the two scariest games ive played. so pumped for the new alien shooter. |

Too bad I lost all of my gaming some years ago.
I made this great Quake 3 map where all the rooms were moving and shifting. It was huge, insanely complex and full of gimmicks and secret rooms. I was really proud of it, but it somehow got deletd. :(
I also made a mod for Red Alert 2 (I used to own everybody at that game) with loads of new units but I also lost it. :( |

You can do this in tons of stuff. Crysis in particular looks promising (especially concidering how moddable the graphics are... for instance you can change the shaders to have overly luscous colours like oblivion if your to suit your mods atmosphere... or change the shaders in other ways to suit the atmosphere). Although tbh that crysis natural mod or whatever its called looks really stupid. Overly dark shadows FTL. I don't wanna shoot north koreans and have oblivion flashbacks (although I really love the art style/shader style in oblivion and it certainly suits itself quite well).
@ The op
This is probably one of those great ideas you have until you realise its actually possible and can't be bothered doing it :stongue: . |

Right now I'm making a map for Insurgency based on a suggestion I heard in the forums, a multi-story parking complex assault. It was originally 1 building with 4 floors, but after playing the latest map in the new update(Buhriz), I made 2 buildings (one is 3 stories, the other is 2) connected by a bridge.
I also assist in TF2 map development for some mates at SA. |
