I did before I posted, but there is no definite "this is a giro account" thing. Is it a bank or something? ffs did you think that MAYBE I did google it?:rolleyes: |

Google is known to retrieve different results depending on the language you're using, but here's what I got when I googled "giro account":
It's an account opened at a post office that can be used in similar ways to an account at a bank [source], and giro is a banking term that refers to something that seems like an anti-cheque :)
Had never heard of that before either, must be an European thing (reason why it may have ranked higher in Portuguese, I don't know) |

Ahh I saw that to but it was way far down in the results as compared to other things that made no sense. I thought that MAY be it, but being it was so far down in the results, I was unsure. |

ive never had a problem with paypal, except transferring money from my bank account to my paypal account takes a good 10 days:whip:
but other then that its good, i buy stuff on ebay alot |

I try to avoid paypal as much as possible. It is a piece of because it has no regulations that it must submit to even though it is basically a bank. |

| If you are gonna be using ebay /paypal for the first time just watch out for spoof emails trying to obtain your password/ID. |

Hah, sorry then.
Anyway, I guess it's a simple bank account, you can store and withdraw money from it, use it for online shopping etc.

Are you trying to buy books or something? Try other on-line bookshops, such as Barnes & Nobles... or, if you want to buy music, maybe you should consider the purchase of tracks off mp3 sites, such as Beatport :) |
