Funny part was that I thought Booka Shade were just going to DJ, and then when I saw the curtains go up...Whoa!!!
Awesome live set and the house was beyond packed, thanks for these quality pics so we can relive the memories! :D |

i expected a lot more from booka shade. i think they played like less than an hour, and it was mostly their old tracks. don't know if i heard any of their new tracks. good show nevertheless, however the real action was in honey and on the terrace.
trent's set was ok, checked him out after they closed down the honey lounge at 5. just never got into it tho.
also, once again your pics really capture the night chris! |

Booka Shade brought it.
The majority of the crowd, and not just a certain niche, obviously were having a lot of fun, which is, at the end of the day, the objective of any party or event. |

I'm really not a fan of Booka Shade. It's ok party music but thats about it, something lacking from all of their tracks. Their live show this time was weird...at points I couldn't tell what the hell the drummer was adding to the percussion like he wasn't loud enough or something. |

Ya, I'm not a Booka Shade fan. I didn't enjoy what they played on Saturday... plus, they played Body Language.
Droog & Trent stole the show. We left at 3:30am (a little after Trent played Grindhouse).
Nice to meet you Bucke! :) |

Hahahaha that's one of their signature songs. If they would've not played it, that's like going to see Depeche Mode and them not performing Enjoy the Silence.

funniest part: "And still, Booka Shade struggled to connect with a packed dance floor filled with Armani Exchange-sporting beefcakes and 40-year-old Chinese grandmothers modeling Forever 21 miniskirts and $10,000 Rolexes" |
