GDP is the purchasing power of a country. The assets which can be collateralized. Source is the CIA World Factbook.

I see. Still, looks way cheaper than I'd have imagined.

Ya, but we can overthrow the google goverment like a proper latin american country :D

Yeah, but why would you do that? You'd live in a Country 2.0, completely integrated to a powerful search engine, and you'd get directions to every corner in every town of your country, and you'd hook up with all drug dealers and corn breeders in its social network.

Gootemagle > Mexico > Guatemala

Gootemagle, lol

it would be way better something like Republica Googliana or something like it

your answers have very little to do with the topic at hand. we are giving monetary value to the collateral assets from each region/country as previously noted.

eventhough i somewhat understand where you're coming from, most of your point would find their place in a philosophy discussion rather than a economics/statistical analysis.

Bear in mind currency has no real value and at best is tied to sentiment of exchange or a commodity.

IN accordance with god we all can exercise divine right to use of land.. our actions are very much made in accordance with the grand design.

WTF a post that makes sense :wtf:

OMG, if I ever become Google's CEO, I'm definitely going to buy the Domonican Republic and call it Republica Googliana.

Or else, I could buy Italy and call it "Googlia~. I don't think I'd buy Norway, though, "Goorgway" doesn't sound quite right :p
