this is very true for all european djs. They imo almost suck here as opposed to how good they are in europe. They seem to want to theme the music in the states rather than play what they are known for and therefore suck it the states.

IMO they suck in the states because the crowd sucks. In Europe they feed off the party crowd which makes them play a better set.

Here they get to get a taste of washing machines and while they try to make sense of what they they are doing...they lose track of what tracks to play.

(ok my second statement may be off by a little)

Alot of dj play differently in the state's , because most of the time they're promoting their cd release and playing track's off the cd. Also alot of the people are not into the music and only there for the drugs. The vibe is overrated, im there to have a good time with my friends and see a dj I like. If the vibe effects the dj and what his playing than his a ty dj.

I agree European DJ's do suck when coming to the states.

But i have seen/heard DJ's play 'n AWESOME sets in S.F. For whatever reason, they tend to do something a little different when they are in town.

id have to say the worst ive seen european djs play is in denver. Every damn dj ive seen sucks there almost. The church club has a guy who tells the dj beforehand what the crowd likes and doesnt like. WTF is that . And its total bull. For instance if a trance guy comes he will tell them the crowd isnt into trance just play 2 big trance songs and the rest proggy. THE CHURCH NIGHTCLUB. Dont tell a dj what to play and what people like. They are known to play a cerain way and the people who attend for the most part want to see just that. I am going to never step foot in that club again.

That's strange, when they asked us to play there last year, no one told us what we could and could not play. So yeah, we ended up playing mainly trance. :toothless We were just there again last week and John Bishop was banging out some hard hitting trance as well. But then again, it was only my second time there so who knows. :conf:

The venue is awesome though. I can actually tell my mom with a straight face that I went to church! :happy2:
