Here is the link to the club. I've never acutally been, but know a bunch of people that have. I guess its a lot of meat heads with a spring break type atmosphere....

this is the funniest booking ever

i actually wanted them to do something like this maybe 4 or 5 years ago when the music was still prime in this area.. i cant imagine there will be a good enough crowd for this.. i hope so though

mbbc aka water works is ok.. i used to be a regular and still go occasionaly because im from down the street.. sound system sucks.. its an outside venu.. crowd is usually a mixed south shore crowd.. the meat head type crowd typically only came on sunday nights which used to be the BIG night down there (or anywhere).. not so much the past 2 years though. The crowds have dwindled.

Either way though it should be a good time. The place is big enough to chill and do your own thing. I hope they bring in some better sound reinforcement though. Also just hope for good weather because if it rains it will basically suck.. anyway im lookin forward to it

Yes, trance is not nearly as popular anymore but PVD, Armin and Tiesto still pull in a crowd. Outdoor events are extremely popular and profitable these days.

With the closing of avalon, this was the only place that made sense for an outdoor event. Regardless, this place will be jam packed. If my memory is correct, pvd hasn't spun in boston (I know, water works is in quincy but it's all relative) since 04.

naw, PVD spun at avalon last year...sick show

PVD 3 times in one year... maybe 4 if he comes back to Roseland in Oct/Nov... very interesante! :eyes:

edit - Whoops! Can't go... I'll be in Spain. :toocool:

its the funniest booking ever because PVD is playing in friggin marina bay in quincy.. if you were from quincy you would know why that is really funny

and i highly doubt it will be anywhere near jam packed.. im sure there will be a decent crowd - hopefully

It's still Marina Bay, not the parking of Quincy College. It should be sold out by September. Everybody likes outdoor events, and besides Marina Bay is only 15 minutes from Boston ... They say that they have changed the place and now it could be a pretty nice venue. With good weather and all the yachts around it will be a great show.

lol.. Im down marina bay 2 or 3 times a week.. it wont be sold out trust me.

oh and nothing has changed from the past few years asside from adding a couple gazebo beds and changing the entrance walkway fencing.. thats it

what has changed is the clientel in general.. the crowd got very urban/ghetto the past couple years and so this year they decided to change the name and add a new fence to make the place seem more upscale to try to discourage a certain type of patron

Yea - I was at PVD last year, it was pretty good. Too bad Avalon is closed, at least the building is torn down and foundations of something bigger and better seem to be spurting up...

Ill be at this show!... Randy Boyer Opening!!! also eli wilkie and craig mitchell. Eli Wilki opened for tiesto on the Wednesday show.

Is there a way to change the name of the thread to include the openers names too!? :) :)

i'm very excited to be part of this show! it's a great lineup, it's outdoors, it's a 6 hour event. there will certainly be a packed crowd...after all, it's pvd! great way to close out the summer :)
