I'm sure this thread has been done, but I can't seem to find a thread. (Can't search for "80s", not enough characters. Fail.)

I've been asked to play a gig of 80's music and I would like some recommendations on some dance/house remixes.

skip the new remixes of 80s junk tracks, and go directly to the good stuff that was actually released in the 80s.

nefardec named some, and i'll do the same..

frankie knuckles pres. jamie principle - your love
sigmund und seine freunde - erdbeermund (the orchestral-strobelight-version)
larry heard pres. mr white - the sun can't compare
sueno latino - sueno latino
model 500 - interference
joe smooth - promised land
808 state - pacific state
tiesto - fly
a guy called gerald - voodoo ray
egyptian lover - egypt egypt
adonis - no way back
inner city - big fun
bohannon - let's start the dance
break machine - street dance
czr - chicago southside
orbital - chime
lil louis - french kiss
stakker - stakker humanoid
jamie principle - baby wants to ride
marshall jefferson - move your body
model 500 - the chase
rhythim is rhythim - strings of life
s xpress theme from s xpress

and if you still want more recent stuff, disco diamonds would be perfect for you.
TranceArmstrong
Phil Collins - In The Air Tonight (Stan Kolev Remix)

Junior Jack - Stupidisco heavily samples Pointer Sisters

There's a sweet electro house remix of New Order - True Faith but I don't know who it's by.

Quivver has a remix of Culture Club - Do You Really Want To Hurt Me I think.

Max Graham vs Yes - Owner of Lonely Heart

cheesey but I love it, Queen - Another One Bites the Dust (Second Sun & Cedric Gervais Mix)

and it's late 70s, not 80s, but I think Todd Terje has a remix/re-edit of Stevie Wonder - Superstitious

watch people rave their faces off with this one

Thanks for the suggestions so far, guys. Keep 'em coming. :)

Also, I should specify, I'm looking for 80s pop songs that "normal" Americans that graduated in the 80s would recognize. Frankie Knuckles, Orbital, and Tiesto aren't what these people are going to give a crap about.

TranceArmstrong and bigjimslade002 are on the right track... cheers, guys.
