get traktor scratch or serato scratch, you'll get the best of both worlds! ;)

Sonic_c
My best friend as it happens lol where would we all be without google..

You cue it up by letting the record go when a phrase starts or hitting play on the CDJ.

yes thanks for that LOL

Let me refrase

I have dj software where i can only hear the master 2 tracks playing at once. I do not have the option of listening to the cue in headphones and the master on speakers. DO i have to buy something to split the signal?

if i were you, i'd buy traktor scratch or serato scratch, like i said earlier.

if you just want to dj with a mouse and a keyboard, then i'd suggest buying a sound card with multiple stereo outputs.

He's right you need to either try running two soundcards or get a soundcard that has multiple outs. But if you're using vinyl already just pick up Traktor scratch or Serato and your computer to drag songs to the digital vinyl. Much better than mixing with a mouse which is what I'm forced to usually do. It sucks so I usually just mix at the rare gig I manage to find.

I used to have Serato with turntables and it was great. The only thing is that it doesn't work well with some of the beat up equipment you find in club booths, but I've heard Traktor scratch is more forgiving although I don't have any experience with it personally.
