I've been a "lurker" for some years on these forums, this is the first time i come to write.
My question here is: How probable is it that some posters here, and in other forums that discuss politics, be on the U.S. government payroll to try to influence a very narrow reality on the things happening around the world, and to rebuke any comment that dissents with the official government position.
Its a known fact that there are psy-ops operations are working around the clock to try to influence people's opinion about the daily events around the world.
And please don't tell me its against the law and can't be done, because i know that feeding propaganda to the american public is illegal, but you all know that this administration selectively chooses which laws to follow.
ps: yea yea my tin foil hat fits really well /sarcasm off |

Why wouldn't they?
But more importantly, why would they?? Occ used to be implicitly backed by the government...sorta (just kidding Occ;)). |

| I suspect they do, but without anything concrete, I can't say they do. |

| yeah I'm sure the US government is really concerned about the opinion of tranceaddicts like us. seriously, I question a lot of the circumstances surrounding 9/11, but that question is a manifestation of paranoia. |

On small forums like these, I doubt there are any government workers distorting the discussions. But, on bigger and better known forums, chats and blogs out there, for certain discussions, I am sure there are government-paid people who post what is "recommended". Typically they would either have a) good debating skills or b) be provided with good sources and links to "back" their points. As in more than one person's thought in the post. |

CIA did cared to check Iran's Wiki page and even made edits.. thats closest I know..
I was watching this 'History Rocks' show on History Channel and they had this really good 15 minute documentary on how CIA tried to kill Cuba guy (Fidel Castro?) 387 times.. and all these attempts were soooooo stupid.. i loled hard.. plus the rock track they played was awesome.. totally matching the theme..
I am sure some bored CIA people with no work/jobs are assigned responsibility of monitoring PR on net.. and generating public opinion in there favor.. |

indeed, lets play a game. rather than making unsubstantiated generalisations (the mainstay of the conspiracy theorist), how about you link us to an example of a post by a regular user that you think might be a secret government asset mining our forums?
in other words, put your money where your mouth is. |
