CFL is the best type of Football....NFL is only exciting when you have money on a game....other then that I would rather watch the grass grow on the putting green at the PGA stop for the week. |

Bah! the AFL, this sport makes no ssense :mad: The refs are blowing the whistle and they're still playing. There's no rules! How does the play stop? When someone in feels lik it? God how lame. And how is one team up by 27 points?! Apparently kicking it THOUGH the goal posts gets you 6 points but just getting near the post gets you one ? Ho in lame. No wonder no one outside of Austrlia gives a :mad:

haha Western Bulldogs are my team :D they are having a pretty good season this year.
The basic rules are:
- if you catch the ball on the full after someone kicks it you take a mark. you can then stop to take your kick or you can run away as soon as you mark it, which is called playing on.
- if you handball the ball to a player, it is automatically play on.
- kick it through the big sticks = 6 points. little sticks = 1 point.
- if you tackle the player with the ball and he doesnt kick/handball the ball fast enough, its holding the ball and the tackler gets a free kick.
- if you tackle someone around the head, the player with the ball gets a free kick.
- if you push someone in the back, the player gets a free kick.
- you can smash someone as hard as you like as long as its in the side or below the head. called a "hip n shoulder".
- if you wanna run with the ball you have to bounce it every 15metres or so.

i reckon you should try watch another game and learn the rules. its the a en awesome sport to watch (once you know the rules) and to play.

It just seems overtly physical for no reason. Hip n' shoulder...FEH! And what is the deal with the ref's blowing the whistle at every possession? Are they just REALLY happy to be involved with a match? |
