£1.10 for each track on DJDownload is bloody stupid, that's £14.30 for the whole album! No wonder so many people illegally download.....think I'll buy the CD for £7.99 thanks very much! Saving of about £6 without postage costs :/
Have you noticed how cheekily these online sites charge you £1.10 even for a 10 second accapella or something like that? lol. |

This album is really, really good. I've listened to it 4 times or so and it manages to impress me every time. It's rich, varied and i can hear how much work went into it. The broadness of it makes it kinda hard for me to get a complete picture of it and that's in part what keeps me coming back to it. That's a quality i like about an album and i think it's a characteristic of good, lasting albums in general.
I really like your sound, whether it's downtempo, uptempo or that floating breakbeat in between, there is this spacy, floating and dreamy atmosphere to it as a unifying ingredient. A lot of nice melodies everywhere, a lot of subtle stuff. The sound is very clean production wise, very pleasant to the ear and without any riduculously loud kicks or other distracting stuff.
Along with Guy J's "Esperanza" this is one of my favorite electronic/edm releases this year. |

i randomly stumbled across this cd in zavvi a few months ago, which was a nice surprise. it had been at least a year since i'd previously bought music over a counter so thought why the hell not :D
it was very good. i'm not going to say 'great' as that would play down the possibility of scope for improvement, but certainly excellent for a debut album. the consistency was spot on, as was the attention to detail, and the atmospheres were lovely as expected - they're becoming your trademark and i'm hoping you don't decide to abandon them any time soon!
'lucid' is my favourite track, although 'going nuts' stood out proudly too. i thought the second track on there (forget the name) was a little pointless but other than that, no bad points. |
