I've been looking for the speech featured in the track Open Society by astral projection for some time now - Is the speech a real speech or a made up one for the song? :conf:
And if it is a real speech, does anyone know where it comes from (apparently related to 9/11, but who and when etc.), or mabye even the spoken words?
ANY help will be greatly appriciated! Thanks :toocool:

"We are acutely sensitive to the need to vigorously protect our liberties as we guard our security. We endorse many of the actions taken in the wake of 9/11 to facilitate government action and information sharing. But we stress that these measures need to be accompanied by a commitment to our open society and the principle of review – safeguards that are built into the process, and vigorous oversight. We must, after all is said and done, preserve the liberties that we are fighting for."
Public Statement: Release of 9/11 Commission Report, The Hon. Thomas H. Kean and the Hon. Lee H. Hamilton |

It (Open Society) sounds very cliched now in 2008, but it sounds nothing like 97.
Plus it's not like psytrance = astral projection. |

Goa, psy, who cares, it has this same fast laser-kick which is laughable (lol) together with the crazy gated psy-leads (lol)
I don't know, why, is it THAT different from tracks produced in'97? If we put it side by side to even older tracks such as "Power-Gen"
there is not much of a difference.
Zzzzzzzzzzzz :p |

Drawing conclusions from listening to just 1 artist is.. What do you call it. Stupid? I think most people who've heard Astral Projections works come to the conclusion that they haven't changed much throughout the years. Whether you like it or not.
But thanks for stating the obvious. |

Only problem is that i was listening to goa-trance artists such as Total Eclipse, Prana, Transwave, Shakta, Juno Reactor, Etnica, UX, Miranda, Astralasia, X-Dream + countless others back in the mid-90s and i have a quite adequate knowledge of what psy-trance sounds like today in general so yeah...we'll talk again in...10 years time when you'll reach my level...
:disbelief :o :toocool: |
