woah! so a lot has already been said.

and I guess Carey has put everyone's quams to rest.
As for Desyn not spending as much time as Demi and Omid did behind the decks, he was all solo the night before in NYC from what I hear. During a brief chat with Demi earlier, he said that "the last couple of gigs have been a little hard for us with all the flight delays, etc". One can argue that for being in the circuit for so long, you become immune to all that so I agree to everyone's views on Desyn.

All in all, I had a great ing time. My first time seeing the three (as some of you can tell how excited I was for this..quite over-excited infact :D).
Their chemistry really showed through the tunage they gave us for whatever time the party lasted for (seriously, I didn't pay attention to the time). Although, I have to agree with DigiNut on that it's not the best I've heard from them. But like someone else mentioned, given more time this party had full potential to be one of the best this summer. Personally, it was...but my opinion is biased.

Great seeing everyone and meeting some others for the first time.
Matt, can't thank you enough for the signed sombero amigo :D

p.s. I just erupted on hearing Take Me Away.

When the music was turned up and the boat was sailing it was bliss! I could not stop dancing and the tracks and mixing was just freaking amazing!!! However, the shortened time was indeed tay and heart breaking because I was enjoying it soooo much! And yes, I also noticed that Desyn did disappear for a long time during the "peak time" of the party, but O well, Omid & Demi ownnnnnned the tunage!

Sometimes things just don't go according to plan no matter how prepared or deserved it is.. so just embrace what you get and focus on the positive (the amazing tracks & weather) and dance! That's what I did anyways

best post in this thread.

All the disappointments were nothing a little alcohol and weed didn't fix. Or maybe a lot of each, lololol.

Good on Carey for the full and lengthy explanation:)

As for the volume issues, I have to admit I was abit taken aback by how things unfolded. Last year as soon as Demi stepped on the boat at Noon we started the music (at a reasonable volume) and he played until 5 PM...again the last half hour of disembarking (at a reasonable volume). I expected exactly the same thing this year and was not notified otherwise...but apparently they no longer allow music while the boat is docked. In fact, they wanted to completely shut off the music as soon as we entered the inner harbour...I had to negotiate a lower volume in order to keep the music on. This is something that I will be taking up with the venue operators as I feel that we were completley screwed out of what we expected based on the success of last years cruise.

Thank you and I am sorry for you too. I would love to but can't be at the Scumfrog party - kudos to you for offering free tickets, I will let my friends know. Not too many of them though because a lot of them are helping us move on the 23rd ;)

You know I have always been a fan and supporter of you, Carey. I will continue to be following this explanation.

Thanks again.

Just ordered new ER-20 ear plugs! Thank you eBay! $13 and change CAD all said and done. ;)

I really cannot abide partying these days w/o ear plugs. On the boat Sunday I was reminded again by how much I appreciate (and *need*) my ear plugs now when im out at an event. I simply cant handle the loud music otherwise anymore. About time I re-ordered ear plugs.

Music just sounds better and more enjoyable w/ proper ear plugs. :)

I sent him a message before the boat and I had a significant typo, I put 39th instead of 30th, I think he fall off his chair :)

Thanks for that note Carey and the gesture for the Exposed tickets.

On a different but related note, I thought we would have some payback at The Docks from Omid and Demi on the decks there. But, for whatever reason, they ended playing an uncharacteristically sub-par electroish set there IMO....I am surprised no one really mentioned that part.

lol...didnt wanna say anything bout that...

Although they played a pretty good set on the boat, I have to agree with this. What were Demi and Omid thinking?
