| DJ Jurgen is the one who essentially does all her music, right? Or do other people, like her or someone else play a part in the production? |

i may be mistaken but i am pretty sure Johan Gielen had something to do with the trance / pop phenomenon that was Alice DJ. I am certain that Gielen contributed to the Vengaboys (who were another slice of Dutch cheese). However, both 'artists' rode the wave of trance that was rampant in europe (in particular the UK) in 99/00.
I think Alice DJ was the psueudonym chosen for the chick who fronted the project. Good-looking, large-breasted Dutch girl who sold the records to all the young/naive trance-heads who were being attracted to the British scene by the explosion of trance in 98-00.
...Just some random information i thought i would contribute.
Oh, and the man Van Diepen who used to be (and probably still is) a prime-time DJ on Dutch Radio (Radio 538...a la Judge Jules) had something to do with the Vengas/Alice DJ. All part of the rollercoaster that is the music industry. Perhaps a dutch TA could provide more substntial information. |

Her name is Judy........don't know her last name??
I agree with dhaz cuz Alice Deejay works with a lot of producers:
Pronti & Kalmani.
- Back In My Life
- Better Off Alone
- Celebrate Our Love
- Will I Ever
- Fairytales
Sven Maes & Johan Gielen.
- The Lonely One
- No More Lies
Danski & DJ Delmundo (Vengaboys)
- Who Needs Guitars Anyway?
- Everything Begins With An E
- Got To Get Away
- Elements Of Life ( prod. with M.van Der Kuy and R. Schutrups)
DJ Jurgen.
He is the main producer behind the song Better Off Alone
Without DJ Jurgen, there wouldn't be Alice Deejay
M. van Der Kuy / R. Scutrups ( DJ Isaac )
- I Can See (See It In Your Eyes)
- Elements Of Life (prod. with Danski & DJ Delmundo)
- Alice Deejay
- Waiting For Your Love
Hazerdous.
- Got To Get Away ( prod. with Danski & DJ Delmundo) |

The founder of the Vengaboys is Wessel van Diepen and he made millions because all the cheesylovers bought the records of the vengaboys. He is still a prime-time DJ on radio 538 with his show Van Diepens Dancedepartment.
U should all listen to this show today, because Tiesto and Carl Cox will be live on his show. Go to www.radio538.nl and click on "luister live via audio stream" between 8:00 pm and 0:00 (dutch time +1 GMT). |

TranceLuver4evr is bang on! Think of Alice Deejay as a collective of Dutch trance producers, a commercial collaboration of sorts, with singer Judy providing the vocals for the tracks. They didn't all collaborate on each track... different tracks were produced by different pairs of producers...
I think that the name Alice Deejay might even be a pun on the drug LSD, ie. LSD-jay |
