Actually no! Haha, I don't know a track that has this melody, it just came out my fingers haha.
I'm doubting about the piano myself, what do you think of the rest of the track. |

i like this, maybe could have more of a build up before it kicks in i think.

the rest is spot on , good filtering in there aswell , its a good track but it dont half remind me of something lol:conf:

| I love it. I just think the melody progression could be a little more defined emotionally. I can't exactly attach a mood to it which it weird. |

hey mate,
comments as i listen:
the mix sounds a bit bright or maybe it's just me
i like the melodies and the chord progression in it
the bassline is not exactly my taste but works good with the rest of the elements you used
the piano in the break sounds a bit off to me, so i'm not to sure about it
overall this is quite a nice peace of trance, good mixdown, nice sound quality.

I'm with Adi, it seems like I've heard a really similar melody or chord progression before in another trance track.
:D
I don't think the piano fits in this track. If I were you, I'd replace it with a synth and have it play a countermelody of some kind rather than simply following the main melody. Overall it sounds like it's mixed pretty well, although it may be a little on the bright side as djsphere said. |

Thanks everyone for the great feedback!
You guys are sure about the piano, it doesn't fit in the track. Tonight I will try to replace that with another synth and maybe a countermelody.
You said the track sounded bright? Hmm... I should really see into that.
I'm also going to try to create a bigger buildup on the end of the break.

Just a few things i didn't like which i'll get out of the way:
I agree with everyone else when they say the piano doesn't fit, you should try replacing it with a synth and as you suggested a counter melody also
The bassline isn't my cup of tea either, but thats a matter of personal opinion :p
One other thing was the kick, I think you should get a deeper kick but then again - it's still a matter of personal choice.
Anyway, I really liked the melody and chord progression. Good job on that! Mixdown is nice too! A few tweaks here and there and you'll have a good one, Keep it up! |
