A friend of mine and 2 other guys started this magazine called Gradient a few months ago. It's sort an art-culture-style magazine based on the border of the LES and Chinatown. It's got everything from fashion to an article on a murano glass blower, and in their first issue there's an episode on Scotto, the guy who basically started Buzz nightlife. It talks about the whole underground rave thing. It's pretty good. They also feature local artists, etc.
Everyone needs to go get a copy of gradient, you can find it at shops around the lower east side mostly; mens stores, sunglasses shops, clothing stores, art galleries, etc, in Chelsea at some of the clothing stores on 8th and 9th between 15 and 20, at Brooklyn Industries on Bedford Ave in Williamsburg and um, a record store called Halcyon right in brooklyn under the manhatta bridge.
