I can confirm this. I also have presale tickets if anyone needs em :) just contact me.
On Broadway just renovated. The soundsystem is now an EAW Avalon system, with 8 of the sub boxes and 4 of the 4x boxes for mids, as well as the super tweeters. Also got all new lighting(martin mac 250s). The whole place is on another level now, I've been asking them to upgrade for ages now and I guess now that The Kress in LA is finished MV has capital to renovate OBEC finally.
Will be a sick night for sure :) |

That sounds good, but do they still book their headliners for 90 minute sets? I haven't gone to OB ever since Judge Jules back in December for that exact reason.
They barely have time to really get into their set, and whoever runs OB stops the party at 1:30am, sometimes even at 1:15. |

| exactly.. San diego has several spots that stay open until at LEAST 2am.. and until 4, and a few more beyond that.. the 1:20-1:45 closing BS is a joke |

dunno what to tell you about that. Usually the guys go for about 2 hours (11:45 to 1:45). The permit OBEC was granted only allows the place to be open until 2 and there can't be any non-employees in the building after 2am. You can thank your local government I guess :(
On big nights they usually do afterhours until 4am but lately its been harder and harder to get those permits.
As for places in SD that open till 4, theres fewer and fewer ... :( its becoming much harder to throw legitimate parties that go past 1am even. Again, thank your local government. :( |

I wouldn't mind it if the headliners started @ 11:00. I think the whole staying up till sunrise thing is a bit overrated anyway.
I hate pissing away my days because of no or lack of sleep. |

The trend tends to be that I sell 10% of the tickets to an event in the 3 weeks prior to the show, another 10% the day of, and 80% after 8pm when I get 1203985029358 texts and calls from people who want tickets, lol. Hopefully we can maybe avoid that and spread out the tickets sales a bit this time?
anyways contact me for tickets, I have them in hand now finally and can drop them off to anyone who needs em.
