I'm on a terminal server (win 2003) and I need to turn on the feature that allows local drives to appear when a user logs onto a Terminal Services Session. I remember it being a simple check box under something simple like 'drive mapping,' but I can't remember for the life of me where it is. Can anyone help?
Cheers. |

Umm, isn't that in the Terminal Services client?
When you go to make a connection you can click "Options" then on the "local resources" tab you click the "More" button. There you can do it. |

Scrap that, I've found it. It's under RDP-Tcp properties.
BUT, the drive mapping feature was already enabled, which presents an even bigger problem. Anyone know what could be preventing local drives not to map? |

Are multiple drives assigned to the same letter? There's a way to "release" them in DOS when that happens. I don't remember how though :o |

No. But that's irrelevant :p Drive letters are kept as they are but appear as, for example, C on 'PC Name.'
I'll figure this out on Monday. |
