weekend club... couple of questions

Could you guys help me out a bit? I'm in Berlin next week and I want to visit Weekend on the 21st and 22nd.

Basically,

How much is the cover?
Price of drinks?
Is there a dresscode?
What time the night starts/ends?

I tried searching, but nothing came up .. so

Thanks.
Enjoy
Also, as a bonus - any record shops around downtown that sell Cadenza, Poker Flat, Cocoon, etc.?

When you talk about records shops in Berlin, then you of course also have the visit clubsound records:

http://www.clubsoundrecords.de/

(My web filter at work blocks me from getting the adress from the site atm)

As for your clubbing questions: Clubbing in Europe is much different than it is in the States. Don't worry too much about dress codes, covers will be low (between 5-10 Euro unless a weel-paid DJ requires the owners to take more) and drinks range between 2-5 Euro.

Enjoy!

normally i would agree, but not for weekend club. its not the kind of typical berlin underground techno club. its pretty much way more decent, as for the interior n also the crowd. a bit like cielo in ny if its common for you. good music but the crowd is more or less to full of the "see and be seen"-stereotype. so the door "can" be a bit of a pain in the ass... just be sure to wear not to ed up cloth/jeans and better leave your "trusty-party-sneakers" that u may weared for the last decade in the hotelroom. also if u arent with chicks, a bigger group of 2 men might not be the best sign for the bouncers...

but others than that, u will have alot of fun for sure. but if u have only a few days in berlin, berghain n watergate should be on a much higher rank on your "clubs to got to"-list...

complete bull from -MY- experience! When I was there for a m_nus party it was as ed up as it gets. Loved it, needless to say ;)

That said, I dunno how it is on regular nights, so this may be true, definitely the door part is:

As for other clubs, there are yo many, so it depends on what music you like. If Weekend is an indication, then I'd suggest Watergate as well. Also Panoramabar could be for you musically, which is open Fridays and Saturdays. Panobar is in the same buidling as Berghain, which is only Saturdays and is harder Techno. Tresor is clearly Techno, and Maria am Ufer (that's the actual of the club) is somewhere in between (more techno-ey, tho I'd say).

omg, i am getting old, i had 40seconds in mind, not weekend. so forget the decent interior, but the rest i wrote is IMHO also valid for weekend, door policy and also the crowd but with more musicheads around.
sry for the mix up.

than its actually not a bad choice, i had quite a few great nights up there. plus if u need to have a few drinks inbetween, the view up there is abselutly phenomenal! cameras allowed!

Yeah, my first choice was Berghain but it seems Radioslave is there on the 22nd but I've heard him before.

Weekend on the other hand has Guido Schneider on the 21st and Cadenza Showcase with Alex Picone and Mirko Loko on the 22nd.

Thanks for the info, guys.
