I am a current student of Leeds Metropolitan University, and I am undertaking a research project with the online legal music download market as the focal point.
I would be extremely grateful if you would complete the following questionnaire, estimated to take no more than five minutes of your time:
http://www.creativewires.com/questi...ey.php?name=LMD
In return for your participation, I will be giving away a £30 iTunes voucher, as part of a prize draw. To enter the draw, simply enter your e-mail address at the base of the questionnaire.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Thank you for your time – it is very much appreciated.
Please note that the collection of your e-mail address is purely for the prize draw, and will not be distributed or used for any unsolicited marketing purposes. All questionnaire responses are to be treated as anonymous, and I am legally bound to adhere to data protection and ethical policies by Leeds Metropolitan University.
If a moderator could sticky this topic for the next few days, that will also be appreciated. |

Never got into the online music shops its just to expensive , I could only answer the first 2 questions. I think you need a large audience to answer those questions and I can imagine only specific people would buy music online.
I think if you did a Survey on people who download ilegally your survey would be more popular , you could also throw in some online music shop questions to. |

There are distinct suggestions that such is an expanding market, hence the research subject. There is, however, a lack of 'real world' studies relating to legal online music downloads.
The decision was made to focus upon the legal market, as there would be a vast number of ethical issues to consider if the topic focused upon the illegal aspect.
Thank you for your input. |

| I tried to participate but I've never actually purchased music on-line (although I'm thinking of buying a couple of albums next month), and, when I pressed "submit", it told me I had not answered some questions I was not supposed to answer :p |

Hi Lira,
Not to worry.
The questionnaire perhaps should be a little clearer in terms of the 'your participation will end here' text.
Thank you for your time, however. |

Morning all,
We anticipate that the questionnaire will be running for another couple of days only, so be sure to submit your entry.

That's your opinion, but there's still a £30 voucher up for grabs.
I originally wanted a Beatport voucher to go with the study, but for whatever reason, they've stopped doing them. |

£30 - Voucher Approx (90p Song) = 33 Songs
$12 - Giganews Silver Account (25Gb) = 6250 Songs
Thats why the music industry is fu**cked :). Im not saying that your offer is pointless , im just demonstrating that technology is growing to fast for the music industry
and just because they cant adapt to it they will ignore it and try and fine the customers for downloading a single from kazza !. They will also run stupid campaigns such as
you wouldn't steal a car ! lol. There is a difference ! |

Thats partly because Beatport is elite.. you have to give away atleast &300 for them to consider you seriously. |

btw for #12 you should have an option for "music selection"
the actual quality of product in online music purchasing is by far the most important thing. the website is always only secondary. |
