Eddie Halliwell has graced the airwaves for over 3 years now, bringing dance music to people's radio's nationwide, but today, Eddie has released a statement saying he is finishing his weekly Radio 1 show.
This announcement coincides with the news that Radio 1 is making some changes with its schedule.
Eddie said; "With the new changes, I have decided to take this opportunity to move on from my weekly commitment at Radio 1 to allow me time to work on other projects that have been put on hold due to my current schedule.
"Presenting my own Radio 1 show has been fantastic and I value the experience and skill I have gained from it, but I feel the time is now right for a change. I can now give my full attention to my international DJ career and other very exciting new ventures. I'd like to thank Radio 1 for my time at the station, it has been a pleasure working with everyone. Fire It Up!"
Radio 1's schedule changes include, Jules moving to the 11pm - 1am slot on a Friday, Kutski will host his own Friday night weekly show and Kissy Sell Out will take over from Eddie on Thursday nights. |
