Try programming some of your synths you can get a lot more out of them then the preset banks.

one saw osc and close the filter very much. though i guess in reason you need to use more tricks to get a similiar fat sound. (layering could help)

if any of the reason synths has a big supersaw (rank 1 - airwave) styled sawpad sound, you could tweak from that.
just take the unnessasery delays, reverbs and big releases off and play it lower. or if you wanna do it from stratch then just detune couple of saws. close the filter or automate it the way you want. then sidechain it with the kickdrum or just automate the volume so it's quiet when the kick hits and raises after that (pump effect).

you might wanna use two same sounds, leave the other one stereo and cut all the bass off from about 200-300hz. and make the other one mono, cut the bass from about 60-70hz, boost from 100hz and cut hifreqs from 200-400hz

i don't know exactly which style of markus bassline you mean. but here's one i made exactly this way (+portamento for the glide effect)

though the bass is from the moog that's why one osc is so fat. but like a98 said you can detune multiple saws. but keep attention that you don't detune them too much otherwise you'll have a hard job to mix it properly with enough lowend and that it still cuts through a mix. usually 2-3 saws slightly detuned will be enough. distortion before the filter can help a lot too.

Are you sure there's only one osc in that bass? Cause it sure sounds like there's alot of detuning going on.
The way I do these types of sound is to detune two saw oscs apart from each other and lower the filter like you said.
Are you using unison maybe?
