THE RULES AS FOLLOWS
1 sample packs are in but only for things like perks, bongoes ,drums and so on.anything else like pre made synths ,patches leads, riffs ,fx are out.
2 your fx station is now in only if pre selected sounds or not used and dont worry i can tell if people have used them because it stands out a mile.
3 any thing pre made with the software all ready installd on your studio software is out it has to be your own work.
4 percussion ,bass lines ,riff patterns ,every thing you need and sellect (pullon) to make your track work "has to be made buy yourself" and again i can tell because your will be over effected.
5 i will allow for deley but not reverb!
6 any genare you wish to dip in is fine but rember the more diverse you make it ie tecno nrg hard house ect can lead to some peoples not giving you credit for your work so id say stick to a genare you think people will feal ,try and complement your stile as much as poss.
7 the 17 off sept is the deadline thats a month from now. i will however give some leway to all if needid.
8 the winner wil earn themself the upmost respect for winning what is a very tuff comp " may the forse be with you " |

i still don't see the point in the competition here... if you want to do a composition competition, then use basic midi... |

True there is nothing to stop you using mids as a tool for sounds you have (created your self). Im not saying you do or any one else on t/a but if you stop and listin to tracks made by your fellow trance addicts and pro's, try and tell me they make there with out falling into the mental attuide of using pre- selects so they can make there work. I very much doubt it in fact i know it! |

but if a track you did is not original in some respects the use of fxs won't change that so drastically, if you are trying to motivate people to be creative and make them learn the use of basic synthesis and such than just make some tutorials...
i have heard about many "pros" using presets and i don't care that much, if it sounds good and is original than what the hell?
so, in conclusion, please explain properly what you want out of the competition, because not using fxs and modelling your sounds is not a competition, its the first step (at least for me) in making a new track... |
