trans? :toothless
Haven't heard about acid trance for a long time. Is this still an existing genre? |

Hey Ricky, just search the Wikipedia on genres like Acid Trance or Progressive Trance. There you will also find some external links to other sources.
And yes, I think Acid Trance is a rather old genre, not professionally produced anymore today... |

I think Acid itself is still popular in some parts of the scene (at least I know some people that tell me they go to acid parties and they usually know what they're talking about) but Acid Trance... Maybe someone should re-invent it! :D |

I don't know about acid trance, but acid techno is still being cultivated. Though it is a small niche, they have have their own floor at Nature One every year. See www.acidwars.com
Acid sounds have also been re-discovered by house and minimal producers, and they never fail to rock the dance floors. Again, this is not trance, sorry. |

I remember some releases in the mid-90īs on labels like "Tetsuo" or "23", from Frankfurt btw. And, not ot forget: Plastic City (Awex).
I would call that style Acid Trance.
I have heard "Progressive Trance" for the first time on releases from the label "Universal Prime Breaks", founded as "Universal Planet Breaks".It had its very own style of trance, more pounding than tracks by EyeQ for example. I never heard that style on any other labels or records.
And Bonzai has an own Sublabel called "Bonzai Trance progressive", but this is a completely other sounds than from UPB.
The question for me is: what details? |
