New Speaker Help! (Dynaudio BM6a, BM6A MKII, Focal Solo6 Be, ADAM P22-A)

My new room needs new speakers. It's a small room (8x12x7). I'll be setting up along the 8' wall. My workstation is 4' across so the speakers will be about 1' or so from the walls in the corners.

I will be mostly working on electronic (trance, ambient, etc...) and "modern" orchestral (think RPG computer game soundtracks, or Hans Zimmer styled movie scores), so "low end" does matter. The only ones I've been able to actually hear have been the Dynaudio BM6A MKIIs and they for sure sounded a lot better then the Mackie HR 824s I am currently selling. My budget is stretched for the P22-As but possible if I really had to. I am also open to other suggestions for speakers.

It's very hard to do this with out being able to actually hear the speakers. Thanks a ton for the help!

You really can't go wrong with ADAMs. Since you have a smaller room why not just go for the P11-As?

I am worried about the low freq. response and accuracy with P11s. It seems that even some people think the BM6a's are better for low end then the Focal Solo6s. It really is a tough choice to make.

I use and recommend the Yamaha HSM80s.

what about HS50 and a sub?
AstroCat
I am actually leaning towards the DA BM6A (original) because of my smaller room size and the need for good low end response. A sub in this small room would be very hard to tune correctly for the space.

It is tough because at the 1500-2500US price point there is no "perfect" speaker option. :conf:

I had a chance to personally sit down this past weekend and listen to the M-Audio Studiophile BX8A Deluxe monitors and I was quite impressed, especially at $499 for the pair. Worth checking out IMO.
