I'm thinking of buying a Nord Modular.
Do I need anything else to make it work? ( apart from Cubase & my Pc of course )
Cause a friend of mine bought himself a synth, and needed a special Midi-interface card or whatever, and then he needed some kind of amp aswel...
Seeing as the Modular is pretty pricy, I wanna know if that's gonna be the only expense... |

Well, a midi keyboard would be nice if you have a musical background. If you allready have a mixing console/amplifier/monitors there is no problem . If you don't have it, you can master on your pc (expensive software though). Then you need an amp/monitors or headphones. Oh make sure you have checked if your pc audio card has got midi in / out, if not you will need a midi interface card, also if you wanna master on your pc you should have a decent audiocard with some good ad/da convertors and low latency if you connect it to the modular (semi - professional soundcards starts around 250 $-those cards allready have midi in/out-).

OK, I have a SoundBlaster Live Platinum 5.1 and a DJ set, so no probs on the amp/mixer part.
I think there is an extention cable for the joystick port of my blaster, so that it can get midi-in/out...
So there are no problems then?
Cool, I'll be getting it pretty soon then:D :D :D :D |
