I am considering buying this synth after playing with it on my lunch. I dont want to buy it for presets although they are epic! Has anyone got one or used one or has an opinion on this synth? It looks fun and sounds good to me also what is the D-beam funcion I couldnt figure it out in the shop. It says wave your hands over the d beam and wow the crowd. Also is it worth £320 used?

Just been looking at a few youtube vids and reviews on it , and it has its own analog engine coupled with the JP-8000 engine in one keyboard

Sounds sweet

I was looking at this beast when i first was getting into production. However i learned that i would need a sequencer and some software so my dream of owning one went out the window :(. I believe that the D-beam functions as a kind of mod wheel. IDK?

Played around with it in a shop a couple of times, really sweet for such a cheap synth.

What I notice is a LOT of these things for sale second-hand. I think the reason for this is that it is so simple. I think people buy it and then grow out of it quickly. That's not inherently bad, though! As a result you can find them cheap on craigslist, and it should be pretty easy to learn how to use, especially if it's your first hardware synth.

Funny you should say that but the reason on the net on why some are being sold is because the person finds it too 'out of there needs'
the one im looking at is anyways

That's just a way of saying 'I don't like it anymore' while trying to sell it. They're not going to flat out say "I don't like it" are they?

I has a built in audio interface, doesn't it? I don't recall.

not sure yet , but i want it for more of the classic sounds of trance since it uses the modified JP-8000 analog engine , (wont be using that raw supersaw though!)listening to a few demo's and its got what i need for my first hardware piece. The vast majority of sellers seem rocky types, so other than trance heads they would get fed up quickly,
But overall its a bargain for my first HW piece
