I've never seen a movie or done anything related to the TIFF, but I'd like to this year. Some people at my work are really into it and I recall them buying packages or something online last month (but whatever they are buying is probably out of my price range.)
What's the best way to "do" the film fest? What's worth money and what's not? I see that advance tickets go on sale Sept 3. The full line up was just released.

(I can't believe visa is the ONLY credit card accepted at the festival! Grrr.) |

Last year I met Naomi Watts (my favourite actress) and Viggo Mortensen by standing outside the premiere of Eastern Promises. Hoping to get Naomi's autograph was the only reason I traveled downtown from Mississauga ;) She is INCREDIBLE (Mulholland Drive, Stay, I Heart Huckabees anybody?!?!)
Here are a few pics I took from TIFF 07:

| Wait until August 26 to see the schedule online and full summaries of each film. You'll have to wait until September 3rd to buy tickets. Each ticket will be ~ $20 for you I think. If you want to see a Roy Thompson Hall gala or at the Elgin for a Visa Screening, those are ~ $40. Those tickets are already on sale. |

| The only TIFF celeb sighting I've had was 2 or 3 years ago I saw Lance Bass at century room when Ben Watt is playing. |

I've been trying to volunteer for the TIFF 3 years in a row and every time it doesn't fit my schedule :(
but I've also wondered what's the best way to *do* TIFF |
