hey dude..it's true..there are nice people on here..:) don't sweat it....i've met some seriously cool tota's......you'll notice it's only a small percentage of people that are ignorant....be strong..lol! |

So people who are not "nice" are therefore ignorant? Strange, my own life experience has shown me no such correlation and I'm certainly not aware of any psych studies on that hypothesis.
I wonder why some people are so eager to prove that they're "nice". I would think that sincerity, loyalty, leadership, integrity, and perhaps a sense of humour are far more valuable qualities to possess and use in the long haul than politeness or meekness. Strained courtesy tells people nothing about who you are, and rarely leads to any serious insight into who others are.
Unless you're looking for a job as a secretary and many casual, fair-weather acquaintances, I wouldn't attempt to claim superiority by right of ingratiating obeisance. |
