Nah it just rubs at the gums and ends up causing them to recede. |

Yea, that and where the ball sits in the mouth. Just the fact that it touches a part of the gum is enough to wear it away over time. (Had mine for aroudn 5 yrs ftr.)

Yea, except in my case they didn't recede, but an entirely new hole opened up in my front bottom gum. With a dental mirror, you could see a little white part of the tooth root. |
