Thanks Rob. The guy says its mint as hell. He used it as a backup mixer. It's the silver version. I won't reveal the price yet but it's wayyy under my budget.

Make sure when you check it out that you get to turn it on and ensure it is actually in "mint" condition as far as operating - but yeah, it sounds like you've managed to track yourself down a good deal, so nice one.

Look forward to hearing how it works for you - it's odd, I get almost as giddy when someone else adds to their setup as when I do. :p

Man let me tell you, it's been a long time coming. I had that DJM-3000 for almost 2 years without decks or CDJs. College was expensive. Finally I graduated and I took the plunge. Needless to say I'm absolutely addicted to adding gear. I'll be sure to snap some pics when it all comes together.

Thanks again.

I have the ecler nuo 2 (but is almost like a 3 channel as it's third channel is a usable line , just rotary and 2 band eq), and the sound quality is amazing.

If you want a full third channel def go with the nuo 3 , best bang for your buck.

Sounds like you're on to a good thing with the VMC-004 but the Vestax PCV 275 is a great mixer. I had one for 3 years, and loved it. My only single critisism was that it didn't have a curve control for the cross fader, other than that, I would put it up there as one of the (if not the) best 3 channel mixer in that price bracket, especially as they go second hand for about $200.

It sounds great, you can give it abuse and it doesn't flinch, the faders are smooth, it's got something like 10 inputs, it has sends on each channel (which can be switched to pre or post) which makes fx so simple to setup, and is really nicely laid out which made it fun to use.

If you don't go for the 004 (which is great too), try to find a 275.

Thanks Rann.

I actually want the 275 over the 004, but this deal is too good to pass up. The 275 has always been one of my favorite mixers (even though I've never played on one). If you see any for sale please shoot me a PM.

Heading out the door to check out this 004 priced at $100! :wtf:

yeah that, the 275 is a ing tank. mine took so much abuse in the 4 years i had it, only replaced the faders once and afaik its still going strong as my bro has it

RANN I have a feeling you can replace the crossfader with one with a sharper curve (a pmc one i believe). I never did it, mostly due to being a lazy arse, but you might want to look into it.

Well I ended up getting it for $120. MINT MINT MINT.

Soooo...

2x CDJ-200 @ $475
1x Vestax VMC-004 @ $120
1x Sony 7506 @ $100

I suppose I'll want monitors soon, maybe other deck, maybe some MIDI... this never ends does it?

.........yet ;)

DJDK, you can take the PCV fader from that and put in to any other PMC or PCV range mixer but unfortunately the PMC short throw faders won't transplant in to the PCV 275. They also don't make a short throw PCV fader.......this was at least the case two years ago.... so maybe things have changed since then?

Any you're right it really was a tank, that's why I stuck with vestax when I upgraded.
