How pathetic is this presidential race crap. I listen to BBC which covers this a lot and you americans make me laugh. It is publisised that the speeches are written by PR guys. It is even publisied that obama's wife only said all that the other day to paint a picture of his family and make him more appealing as a family man. You americans lap it up! makes me laugh you are not voting for change your voting for who has the largest marketing budget and best PR guys.
Am i wrong do you all know this and as such are not going to vote because ultimately its just pointless? I dont think so.
All this love your country crap. The american dream obamas wife trying to make a speech with all this "I love a country where people can dream"

In reality your country is the biggest dictatorship on the planet, disagree? try not to pay your taxes, or try to stop your president going to war. You bully everyone else and for some reason see yourselvers as the worlds police!

For the record this is not a personal attack and I like loads of american people and this does not mean i hate all americans. My step father is american and he agrees with me. It is merely my opinion on the general state of the US as a whole.
EDIT 1 - If anyone says yeah well the uk this etc. I hate us too we got highest taxes in europe and loads of our own problems apart from following you around the world on your "peace missions" lol |

Do you not find it a bit ironic to judge how much Americans "lap up" what the media feeds us based on what the media is feeding you?

Every political party in most countries have PR people and speechwriters that work very hard to portray a particular image of their candidate. |

Ok well then i take back just america then it just seems way more prevelant there. Im just pissed with the system tbh. Really we the people vote for a face then.
If the speech writers and PR guys do all the thinking
then are we not voting for the speech writers minds not the candidates
So why not just vote for the guy who writes the speeches
Or if we insist on voting for our favorite face to go on money then I would rather have paris hilton TBH

You don't understand.
The UK has a Prime Minister who doesn't really have much power by himself, he's just the boss of his side of the floor in the HoC.
In the USA, the executive branch has a ridiculous amount of power and it needs to be in the hands of a person the American public can trust to use it, it's almost as though the Americans elect a King for 4 years and give him free reign to do whatever so long as he doesn't bug the democratic headquarters or lie infront of an inquiry about banging members of staff.
It's a lot easier to keep a PM in check then the President, a PM can get his ass handed to him if he puts forth ridiculous legislation and actually be forced to call an election (minority gov.) The president simply wont get kicked off his throne unless impeached. |

it shocks me when i see the "stories" that make it in the US media. sometimes it just feels juvenile imo. i guess that's what happens when you have 300 million people? i dunno.
but it bakes my noodle that people give a about the woman that the president sticks his dick in. who cares if he married a cranky old bitch that hates america?
