I wonder if it has anything to do with their diet. Or maybe they are just overworked and not resting enough? Just speculation of course.

It is sad seeing that happen.

A really sad one is Miklós Fehér, who died 25th of January 2004 of a heart attack on the field. One moment he was getting a yellow card - then he clutches his chest and falls over.

Poor sportsmanship...just take the penalty.

As far as i can read and research , the OP guy is still alive,

Other than mark vivien foe and the motherwell guy ,ive not heard much of football players dying.

But i read in the papers about superfit guys just dropping dead , what ever proffession they do,

Wonder if you can be Too healthy?

I am not going to post the youtube. If you want to watch it - google it. It is disturbing.

Well, there's a reason why temperance is a virtue.

I think you are referring to those ultramarathon runners? I remember hearing something about because they are so extreme that they are unhealthy, but I can't find the info I read about it.

Yeah. I was so in shocked by it. I mean the african ones, a lot of heart murmors, hell even Thuram had to retire cos they found one, but a white spanish guy, healthy as they thought he was, doing so much training and being so much fitter than any of us, and to happen, it haunts me.
