That's an extremely valid point.

still VERY weak for a wednesday with that line-up. I don't think people realize the types of costs that go into a lot of shows.

Damn, we'd have to roadtrip to DC :wtf:

But obviously you can't expect to win them all. I want to honestly ask: do you expect not to make enough from shows like Cox/Sasha/Schulz/Tiesto to balance the risk of someone like Zabiela (who is still pretty popular himself)?

If there are other reasons for him not coming, such as date conflicts, etc... fine. But you're making it sound as if the primary reason why he isn't coming to Atlanta on this tour is becuase it's too much of a financial risk.

I do.

And with all due respect, the only place I've seen get packed on a wednesday is the Drunken Unicorn. From what I've seen and hear, ATL sucks with turnout when it's not on a Friday or Saturday.

No you can't expect to win them all but when you have made an investment several times on a certain product and it has continually lost you money then why would you make that same investment for a 5th time?

Thats not true, we do a lot of large events on weeknights that do a lot more then 125 people. Boris 2 weeks ago did 1100 on a weeknight. Yes it was tagged along with the playboy thing but it worked. For Markus Schulz I have already sold more then 125 tickets for a Thursday night and I expect it to be a large night. But even Fridays and Saturdays are gaurentees in Atlanta. Atlanta is a very ify market sometimes but we do what we can to keep it going.

If the turnout for Loliland or "Celebrity DJ" Samantha Ronson is any better, I will cry. Sadly, I have little doubt that it will be better.

It's tough working in an industry that you are passionate about because much of the time, it doesn't matter what you like because you've gotta pay the bills.

Those bookings are due to the fact that we may be changing the friday night format to a more mainstream night and moving all the other dj stuff we do to Saturdays. Stay tuned for that.
