Audacity for Mac

| i hooked up the mixer to the mac with audacity but the computer doesnt seem to recognize the audio. i hit the record button and no spike appears to show the music is recording. can anyone help me with this? im not a mac user so i have no idea what to do. thnx |

| go into audacity --> preference at the top menu, make sure "Built in input device"(or whatever its called) is selected for recording. |

| do you have an external sound card that you connected your mixer to via rca? if so you'll need to select your inputs from your s/c in the preferences, not built in input |

Try the following in OS X...
System Preferences > Sound > Input
Make sure that Line In is selected and that the input volume is up. |
