Obama blowed a dude, and he has a wife. I'd say he isn't exactly the pinnacle of morality or loyalty either.
| quote: | Gay Sex, Drug Use Detailed in Barack Obama Lawsuit
A lawsuit filed in the United States District Court of Minnesota February 11, 2008 alleges democratic presidential hopeful Barack Obama engaged in illegal drug use and sexual activity with another man in 1999.
The suit, brought by Larry Sinclair, alleges three named defendants have actively engaged in internet intimidation and have illegally investigated his personal life. The suit names Obama, along with the Democratic National Committee and Democratic political consultant David Axelrod, as defendants.
The suit claims the defendant’s actions are in violation of Sinclair’s First Amendment freedom of speech. Sinclair goes on to claim he attempted on numerous occasions to contact Obama through his campaign headquarters to come forward regarding the allegations.
After claiming his requests were ignored, Sinclair says in the suit he contacted numerous media outlets with his story. Those outlets, the suit claims, refused to even pose questions to Obama about the alleged incident... |

Huh. Well that warrants some investigation then.
edit: the allegations of suppressing freedom of speech, not the outrageous gay thing. |

Then you post this guy on an airplane, which you can barely hear any of the words he's saying, and you come up with, "Dems happy about New Orleans hurricane?" You sir are the new village idiot. You must be Latinlover's sidekick??:o |
okay...Apparently, Don Fowler came forward today and apologized which is confirmation that it was indeed him.

Please explain to me how this guy speaks for all Democrats. Can I assume all Republicans are closet gays who go to the airport looking for anonymous gay sex? |

Hi Goku, I'm interested on hearing your thoughts about this article:
"GOP Sees Political Redemption in Gustav":

I'm sorry, who's happy about this hurricane again? Who sees a potential POLITICAL advantage in this potential natural disaster again? |

So are you dismissing Don Fowler's and Michael Moore's comments as not true despite them saying publicly (see videos) that this hurricane is God's gift to the democratic party?
As far as republican redemption, I don't see anything wrong with demonstrating to the nation how to handle a crisis. Through detailed oriented press conferences such as the one held this afternoon, Gov Jindal is showing how state-local govt cooperation is really done (e.g. calling the president to release addtl oil, laying out detailed plans for after the Hurricane ). I'd take Gov Jindal any day of the week over Blanco/Nagen debacle of 2005. Would you? |

That's about as loaded a post as possible. First of all, Nagen is still the mayor of New Orleans... so looping him in there didn't make any sense. Second, comparing Gustav to Katrina is pretty disingenuous thusfar. Third, releasing strategic oil reserves really has no bearing on anything at all, considering it takes about 30 days to refine that oil into gasoline.
That said, the response thusfar seems to be top notch - a product, no doubt, of many different agencies and offices having learned from past mistakes.
And as to Jindal - I told Q earlier, I would have been much more satisfied with him as VP candidate than Palin. |

Okay.
You've just defined redemption. |
