how did you choose what style you wanted to produce?
i been listening quite avidly to a very broad spectrum of EDM/IDM for about 2 yrs now. Im glad ive found a particular niche music style i like in that sense. but other than that. i cant choose if i want to do dnb, trance, classic, house, prog, techno, harder styles, breaks, garage.. etc etc.
just curious what peoples backgrounds were to starting out, and how they chose what style, or fusion. i guess ideally you would do a fusion of your favourite bits, but i still cant choose. too many sounds, too much choice. |

| Ive always been into anything trance related but until a few weeks ago i didnt really give it a real shot. A few years back i was interested in a then sort of underground scene from where im from, called bouncy house or scouse house, recently its gone quite commercial, but i was involved in thsi scene for a good while, owning 3 records labels and remixing for minsitry of sound. During the past few weeks i feel i have progressed enough in this particular scene to move on to new things. Im working on a few trance ideas, mostly minimal techy trance, but i want to be incorpating some big lead synths and try to make a little different style if i can!I know ive sort of gone off topic, but is my first post so i thought i share what ive done and were im hopefully heading to now! I will get samples of my new work once ive sorted certain tracks out. Thanks :) :gsmile: |
