Taking a diverse collection of tracks and picking them apart. Then weaving them into a colourful tapestry that is completely his own. Invol2ver is the sound of one of the world’s finest DJs at the peak of his powers, mixing you the future. Sasha, Barry Jamieson and the Spooky duo of Charlie May and Duncan Forbes, plus Leo Leite used every piece of dirty equipment they could get their hands on to create that lo-fi gritty sound, and loved every minute of it. “In every way, Invol2ver is closer to a production album than anything else. We were like kids in a toy shop basically, hunting out as many old mixing desks, drum machines and guitar pedals that we could find on eBay” says Sasha. By layering old guitar pedals, amps, and white noise, Barry adds “It’s like a collage of New York sounds. Old gear is so unpredictable and it had a mind of its own, this album was very spontaneous in that way.” And like NYC, the city that never sleeps, Invol2ver is alive; you just can’t get these sounds from a computer or anywhere else. |

The counter must be for the full global release. The iTunes release was announced this morning via GU newsletter. |

| Just downloaded it off iTunes, but the the whole CD is compressed to 68 MB. I'm pissed, but I guess I shouldn't have expected anything more from iTunes. . |

You can order the 2-CD edition off www.djsasha.com - it is $19.98 plus shipping. The regular version you can either order there or off Amazon, but it's only 1CD and 13 tracks, $14.98. The 2nd CD of the 2CD version has the following 6 tracks:

do you know if you can get the 2 disc at best buy or some other music store on the 8th? or do you have to go to dj sasha.com? |

My best guess (I would rather just go get it at BestBuy) -- is that (if) Best Buy has the release on Sept 9th in stock, it will only be the 1CD release (general release). The 2CD is dubbed "special limited edition" I believe. This parallels much with the PVD "In Between" in which the 2 CD "Special Edition" was only available via mail order only, and it eventually became available on amazon. Initially the 2CD was dubbed "Asia Edition" |
