i don't think he is as bad as most of you have described and i don't mind his scratching at all but yes i agree he should lay off some of his other and just stick to trance. almost all of his sets recently have been junk.

the only thing i like about him is the fact that he's introduced A LOT of people to trance and from there the crowd branches out and looks for the much better . i don't mind him that much as a dj. just his productions.

guess what.. i voted for the "best dj on this planet"
just to be ....
different..
hmmm shoot me! hehe

I voted for average. Much like my fellow TranceAddict-ers, I feel that Jean can play a good set if he wants to but he just doesn't anymore. He wuz in Vancouver just last month and I went there expecting a lot out of this world-renowned DJ. He didn't meet my expectations, but I thought he did aight. He wuzn't EXPLOSIVE or anything like that, but I have to admit, he does know how to get the crowd hyped up; he teased us so much throughout the nite too! And I think his scratching is very sick. He knows when and how to scratch but other than that, not much comments on the guy. Despite sayin' all this, my night wuzn't wasted at all...I got his autograph prior to his set!

I choosed for Average... but it depends on what kind of music he plays. If he plays "groovy" (which I hate) then I don't like him. If he plays trance and "dutch club" than it's much better.

I like his groovy , i have a few editions of the madhouse series and on cd1 are always groovy tunes that i like a lot. cd2 always has clubtrance on it which i also like. His life sets are mmmm..wel, not so good as dj tiesto's so i voted average on him.

I'm seeing him tonight...

Well, i voted okay, cuz the only set by Jean i heard was on hyperstate when i was there and it made me dance:) But i trust u guys when u say he's bad, and that he tries to rap is just hilarious...

Peace

DJ Jean was totally worthless on Sensation earlier this year, I can't belive that he actually thought that he was good. But sure, He was probably high or something..
