Hello all,

I would love some objective feedback on my latest track "Flickering Shadows" (possibly a temporary title) which I suppose is prog-house with trancey elements :eyes:

It isn't quite finished yet but the main arrangement and elements are all there. Specifically any comments on the levels and general mixdown would be really helpful but of course I'm eager to hear peoples views on the tune itself.

Thanks for reading..

not bad at all, but it feels like something is missing

maybe a pad somewhere,

and some more atmospheric sounds would be nice

during the whole song I had the feeling that at some point a phat electro (saw bass) was gonna drop in , but it just didn't come

at the end it gets a little boring:(

oh well just spitting out some ideas :toothless

Listening to it right now:

- Intro sounds nice.
- Are you using a standard sine as wave? I would make that a lot deeper if I where.
- For the rest nice sounds!
- Not to fond of the keys that you used.
- From 2:30, very nice progression
- Some more atmosphere as Sh!fty said would be very nice, it could really fill out the track, especially during the break.

If I can give you a tip. The melody in the break sounds very balearic. You should try to throw a lot of congo's under the track, maybe create a more balearic edit.
After the break I think the track is good, but still missing something (maybe congo's ;) ).

If you'd make it more balearic, this would be something I'd play..

Good work!

i like 127 bpm stuff !
so...... i have to say that i didn´t like the beginning
but! when the synths and melows start wo show up
thats when i get the real idea of the track , like it like it

it doe´s feels empty, but i think a more complete perclines should do the trick
the bridge its nice!!
like where are you getting with this

hope to listen the last version soon

Thanks very much for your comments.

I've made a few changes, added a couple more percs and FX. Not too much because I didnt want this to become a cluttered mix. But I think you were right it needed a few extras which I think I have given it now.

I've updated the original link with the new version.

Any more feedback really welcome!! :)

I think the bass needs more power...Maybe if it was an octave lower, thought that coudl sound really bad. I think you need pad in there that sidechains, yeah side chaining. Do some of that, that sound is always great.

And maybe add a fat electro bassline after the breakdown.
