Canada has it's first Green MP!
One of the Liberals (centrist) party members changed his party when the election looked immenent (I think it is).
It was a great move, he didn't really betray his consitituents by changing right after getting elected but his doing so has let the Green Party have an official voice in the debates in an upcomming election.
Yeah, more representation. |

Ah, I forget.
MP = Member of Parliment
Green Party is the global environmental party.
In Canada they've been getting something like 5% of the popular vote but haven't had a representative. This means that they've been excluded from debates for years. |
