UK Garage aka 2-step is mostly trash, but note that the original Garage music from the US is different from UK Garage / 2-Step... I'm not familiar with the exact differences since I listen to neither... all I know is that they are NOT one in the same genre.
There's lots of good House music out there (along with the bad stuff, but every genre has that)...
I just remembered some of my fave house tracks...

Garage is horrible... up-tempo R&B... so it's pure ... why do people like it??? Because it tries to have hard basslines like Drum And Bass, but no matter what it's still .
House = Boring... and no energy + way too many stupid vocals! |
