New to 'techno'

| I don't know that much about techno-techno, not 'techno' as in the trance and jungle stuff I listen to a lot, esp. trance. Someone reccommended Mauro Picotto - Hong Kong as a techno genre song, and I heard it and it's really cool, I like it...can you tell me others like it? Or if it's not actually categorized best as 'techno', what is? examples? thanks muchly... |

mauro is techno, but techno is very, very wide ranging.. so don't expect that you'll like it all :)
for the same kind of style get anything recent by mauro picotto (baguette, awesome, cyberfood, verdi, pulsar (verdi mix) etc) also check out ricky effe (aka ricky ferri) megamind, marco v (trancey techno) and dave clarke (deeper techno)

| Hey i had the same type of question in mind....I always thought of techno with some of that fruity sound samples...like the ones that make weird noises. but i heard some other type of techno which is pretty good and not cheesy...like sven vaeth - mind games... thats techno too but its far different from the cheesy types...so are both types techno or are they of different genres?:conf: :conf: |
