why people wear multiple layers to a sauna like Guv...beats me. |

Surgery went well. Admitted to Shouldice on Monday around 1pm. Boooored for the rest of that day.
Tuesday was the surgery (about 12:30pm). Was on three pills (one of which was valium, don't remember the other two) but was conscious throughout the proceedure. Lots of tugging and thumping... No pain.
Woke up later that day. Apparently there was a 1-2 second delay between questions and my answers. Couldn't walk around until about 10pm.
Half of my clips removed on Wednesday, remainder removed today. Drove home, then off to Scotch Club.

Lots of clips. Day after surgery.
Fewer clips after half were removed on Wednesday.
This is what the wound currently looks like. No clips, no dressing. I have to take a sponge bath for the next five days. More moving around = less pain during recovery. I have a bit of a limp, but I'm no longer on any pain medication.
Over all a pretty easy experience. Food wasn't great, and they only shaved half of me....... |

smart man! Souldice is top notch. I had each side done there, 10 years apart.
I also took similar pics of my own 'repair' and sent them to squeemish friends :D |

Impressive ability w/ the cam post-SC, I wasn't sure you'd have a steady hand given that 50-yard stare last night lol. |

I didn't go quite as bonkers as usual last night. I'm trying to encourage healing - not poison myself :p
Can still taste the meat and potatoes... Effing excellent job.

Well, that adhesive doesn't seem to be easy to get off, and I'm not exactly inclined to scrub too hard down there (could turn into a bloody mess)... Perhaps I should get it recreated at Adrenaline once all this nonsense is healed....
I figure that if chicks dig scars, then I can offer to show it off and then oops! Showed too much (I'll need a bat to keep them away after that, ye'see) |
