I'm trying to skim off as much money as possible purchasing and hunting for textbooks/books @ Ryerson.

Anyone know any good new/used bookstores in the downtown core? Specializing in paperbacks.

Thanks!

I think there's one beside World's Biggest Book Store, one block north of Dundas (Edward Street) just west of Yonge. I've never been in, but it's a start. (This information is worth exactly what you paid for it)

+1 but apex got booked a few times, you can still check. It's on Gerrard next to the pizza store.

Also the photocopy store behind the ENG building, if you give them the original, they'll copy it for you. Indian owners, seem friendly enough. Went through 5yrs of Ryerson with 1 original book :)

Check out Seekers Books... on the South side of Bloor between Spadina & Bathurst.

It's a basement shop, so keep your eyes peeled. Awesome selection, & even better staff.

Good luck.

I dunno, I've never had much luck finding paperbacks of anything that was required for courses. There are quite a few bookstores in the area, but really none carried anything remotely academic, or at a saving.

Apex was the place. lol at the insane amount of people that went there, and continue to do so. Hopefully it will be around forever.

There's a used textbook store on College St opposite UofT's main bookstore. Don't know if they would carry Ryerson stuff though.
