well two layers of bass could use a lot more tweaking and i like the deep sounds in the back there, i dont really like plucks so i won't comment on them :)

a nice airy lead there, nice melody progression and feel at this part... the fluety synth isnt going well there for me...

the whole track is compressed like hell and the mix is a bit lacking, some sounds choking and stuff...

anyway nice work tho i didnt connect to a general idea there, all the best!

yeah everything its rlly good on your track
sounds, basslines, hihats, etc etc

the melows work great with the athmosphere of the track

very very personal opinion: its just that, i dont feel nothing special on it

but you make a rlly good work here, well done and congrats

Thank you very much for your feedback guy's.

I take on board you comments about the track not having that something special about it. Can you tell me what you feel is missing. I don't mean "can you tell me the magic ingredient", but for example, do you think it needs a stronger, more emotional main melody, or is there something you would have like to have heard in the track, even something that you were expecting to happen, but it did'nt.

I hope I have not been stupid asking that question.

Cheers

i think a distinct melody could do the trick or a main riff or something, something along these lines.

OK,
Ive reworked this track after reading some of the suggestions that a couple of you had made.

If you got time please take a listen, as I would love to know your thoughts on it.

Sir, you have the potential to be great. Keep at it. It's just a matter of tweaking some aspects of the production.

Agree with the rest, you got potential
Really good song :)

Thanks guys.

Just out of interest, when you say I have potential, what areas do you fell I need to improve upon? I know it's a very open question, but if you could point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.

Is it the mixing, or eqing, for example that I need to get better at?

I hope you guy's have the patience with me asking these questions, but I really genuinely want to get better a producing trance music, and I think even with all of the practising and messing about that I am doing, and learning along the way, I still don't think you can beat advice and guidance from people that have "been there, done that".

Cheers

the only thing that i can bring to this thread is you need to concentrate on building things up more ie pad things out with not so good things. :tongue3

its ok but with no hook to keep u listening. the bassey type lead that goes all the way through it is too prominant.

Thanks guy's

I will spend some more time on this track, and let you all know when an update is available for you to listen to.

I really appreciate the feedback you guy's have give. I will try to develop a hook line, and maybe alter the filter on the bass so that it is not to dominating in the track.

Thanks

Steve
