Is it just me, or was the Liddell/Evans fight stopped prematurely... Liddell was setting up Evans to pull guard before Dean stepped in.

All joking aside, a great night of MMA...
Close one between Kim and Brown... Kim stealing the 3rd round and getting the decision.
Nate 'The Great' doing as I expected and taking out Kampmann, although he is a great fighter no doubt.
Dan Henderson looked ok, a bit slow, but Palhares is no slouch, Hendo's defense too good for Palhares - decent fight over all.
Franklin vs. Hamill was a very nice fight, although I feel Hamill could have done more to help himself win, he seemed to hesitant to go at Franklin, thus leading to his demise, well done Franklin.
Rashad 'Holy ing craziest KO in MMA history' Evans. Jesus... wow... is all I got to say. The fight to start was a bit of a bore as both fighters were feeling each other out. Evans being a wrestler, knowing that Liddell has the greatest takedown defense ever, they were cancelling each other out... until... OH BOY, until Evans threw a right hand from the depths of hell that landed on Liddells chin to knock him out ice cold - thats right the Iceman, knocked out ice cold, worse then against Rampage. His lights were turned off for a good 10 minutes... and my jaw fell out of place seeing it happen. WAR RASHAD!!! KO FORREST!!! |

OMG!!! Lidell ate one huges right. Hamill need to start using his left hand more...that fight was a steping stone for Franklin.
Randy Couture is back!!! I wonder how Brock Lisner stand against Couture. its gonna be skills vs strength. |

Well, this is an interesting debate.
First off, the fact that Brock is fighting Couture for the belt is total horse , the guy hasnt proven anything and is fighting for the title, when it should be Nogueira or Mir fighting for it.
Second point why this is horse ... its a terrible match up for Randy after taking over a year off from fighting. This is Dana White being the prick he is to set up Randy for a loss and boost Brock.
Onto the fight, me and my friends have a little debate on this, because I have one group that thinks Brock's power will win the him the fight by decision after 5 rounds, just by sheer strength and weight of keeping Randy on the ground. Then theres my belief that Randy's experience is gonna play a big role in this because Brock has to fight 5 rounds, and I doubt he has the conditioning to last that long. Look at how tired he was after 3 rounds against Herring, and Herring hardly really fought back. On top of that (not to take anything away from Brock) Randy has over a decade of ring experience, plus all the Greco-Roman experience on his side. Furthermore, Randy is a small heavyweight and is used to fighting guys that are bigger than him. Alot of people think that the only way Randy will win is to submit Brock (or by decision), but what people dont realize is that Randy doesnt have such good submission skills, if anything theyre as good as Brock's, but again he has the edge in experience, so that could get Brock to fall into a routine submission.
My call on that fight... Randy wins by TKO in the 4th round as a result of the dirty boxing and Brock getting tired. |

wow! i didnt know they were fighting for title shot. Couture is very well rounded and can't really tell how he can finish his fight. I know he's got amazing gound and pound, and minor stand up. Lisner, i really havent seen any skills either, but everyone been saying his got good wrestling background.
IMO, couture by rear naked choke in 2nd or 1st round, pending how how lisner play his game. more likely lisner will take his fight standing. |
