If you want to play, you've gotta pay.
Torq is pretty cheap.

yea, but i don't really feel torq. its either serato/traktor or just cds for me, and i'm really sick of burning all these cds.
i'll probably give in and just buy traktor 3 and get a sound card or something. so much cheaper! spent all my money on my xone already |

| i may be selling my serato if you're interested... |

| thx but i think i'm good. my friend has serato and i kinda wanted something diff for myself. traktor can get pretty cheap it looks like, so it might not be bad just getting it cheap and buying a sound card. maybe an upgrade in the future |

| they are very different... what exactly are you looking to do? |

| well i want to be able to access my music a lot easier, but i'm also interested in the looping and stuff from traktor, maybe trying out 4 decks or something. i've used serato already and i just feel like going a diff direction. plus its so much cheaper! |

getting a used copy of ssl is cheaper than what you're saying... and i'm not trying to tell you ssl is what you want/need, i'm just saying.
you can get an external soundcard on the cheap, but you'll probably regret it later as the functionality will be limited, sound could be less than desired, etc.
i just recently got traktor 3 and the audio 8 dj and they cost $100 and $400, respectively. just to give you an idea.
i hear what you're saying though, and i just did the same thing. it's pretty neat. i have a lot to learn, but the functionality is amazing. |

Have you used it (Torq)? I've been using it since v 1.0 and the current version 1.07 is rock solid. You can find it with control cds and vinyl for under 200 bucks online. More features than most other DVS and half the price. (I do wish it had the 4 deck option though). |

| Do any of the DVS systems allow for 4 external decks? |

Traktor Scratch upgraded to Traktor Studio.
I think Mixvibes does too.
